THE CULTURE OF QUALITY

Situated at the foot of the Cévennes, 5 kilometres from Anduze and its famous potteries, the TORNAC winery, founded in 1924, covers 400 hectares of vines. With a production of around 23,000 hectolitres, it is one of the medium-sized wineries.

Composed mainly of clay-limestone, marl and stony soils, the TORNAC terroir is particularly well-suited to vine-growing.

For more than 30 years, the TORNAC winegrowers have chosen to market their wines themselves by selling them directly from a cellar to a loyal clientele of local buyers (restaurateurs, retailers, etc.).

Our winery was one of the first to adopt this approach, and has always maintained an innovative and dynamic image. Our close relationship with consumers has long made us aware of the need to move towards the production and development of quality products.

The selection and renewal of grape varieties and the improvement of winemaking techniques have been essential factors in achieving this objective.

Merlot, Syrah, Grenache and Cabernet make up the bulk of the reds and rosés, while the whites are made from Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Vermentino…

THE PASSION OF A TERROIR

We have always lived off the land, we love it, and we understand more and more every day that respect for it is essential. For too long, we have considered the land exclusively as a means of production, forgetting just how fragile and vulnerable it is.

By adopting organic farming methods, we wanted above all to work in the long term, in a way that was more respectful of our environment.

Respect for nature and the quality of the products we offer are the objectives that drive our efforts every day, out of a passion for the land.
